Bead Sew Crafty is a Registered Charity run by Alsena & Amrit who specialise in running therapeutic handicraft workshops for adults with learning disabilities & additional needs. Our centre is based in the lovely regenerated area of Horsenden Farm.
Our workshops aim to focus on bringing out the best in individuals by engaging them in creative workshops ranging from jewellery making, sewing, knitting, embroidery, needle felting and other textile assorted handicrafts.
We believe that handicrafts should be easily accessible to vulnerable groups. Craft based activities are known to have a range of positive psychological benefits such as reducing anxiety, increasing motor skills, improving an individuals mental health as well as reducing isolation by encouraging vulnerable people to join in group based workshops. We aim to promote an individuals independence by supporting them in their creativity through our fun & social craft workshops.
In addition to our daily weekday workshops we also run weekend group based craft workshops (by appointment only) at our workshop & also offer In house Craft Workshops for vulnerable & older groups of people in the comfort of your own home (subject to terms & conditions). Please contact us for more information if you know of anyone who may be interested in accessing our workshops.
